Captain Mike grew up on the waters of Southwest Florida, where his childhood passion for fishing quickly became a lifelong obsession. With over 20 years of experience on Charlotte Harbor and offshore Boca Grande, he has dedicated his life to learning, improving, and mastering every aspect of the sport.

Captain Seth Scott
Captain Seth Scott is a born-and-raised Southwest Florida local with a lifelong passion for the water. For the past five years, he has been fishing full-time with CAT5, where he started his career as a first mate and worked his way up to becoming a full-licensed captain.
Seth is obsessed with offshore fishing—whether it’s chasing pelagics, dropping deep, or grinding out the perfect bottom bite, he lives for long days offshore and big fish on deck. His tournament experience, including multiple wins and top finishes, speaks to both his skill and his competitiveness on the water.
Guests love fishing with Seth because he’s professional, patient, and genuinely fun to be around. He brings a calm, dialed-in presence to every trip and treats each charter like it’s a chance to create lifelong memories. The Boat
We own and operate a new (2024) custom built 37 Freeman. The boat is powered by quad 300 Yamaha engines, and is equipped with state of the art Simrad electronics.
The 37 freeman is arguably the best center console on the planet for Gulf of Mexico fishing. We can cruise at over 50 mph in most conditions which allows to spend more time fishing. When the weather gets rough, the Freeman offers one of the most driest, and most comfortable rides you can experience in a center console. The wide beam allows plenty of room for up to 6 anglers to fish comfortably. The boat is outfitted with the absolute best fishing gear and tackle money can buy. We fish almost exclusively Shimano Reels (Talica, Torium, and Tiagras) on Custom built rods designed to handle the abuse of large fish.
Safety gear is paramount on any boat, especially when venturing offshore. In addition to the coast guard
required safety gear, We have opted to equip our boat with a life raft, Eprirb, and multiple redundant
communication devices.
