Captain Mike moved to the waters of Southwest Florida at a young age and his love of fishing quickly developed into a lifelong obsession. He has spent 20+ years honing his skills and taking his passion for fishing all over the world. From The Everglades and Florida Keys, to the coasts of the Outer Banks to Hawaii, and to the sailfish capital of the world Guatemala (ask him about his record sailfish release day, that’s a story!) But his heart lies in his backyard waters of Charlotte Harbor and offshore Boca Grande. He’s at home whether it’s fishing the flats in a foot of water or 100 miles offshore hunting giant fish. When he’s not fishing offshore, you may see him on the winning podiums of the local inshore fishing tournaments.
In his own words: “If it swims in the ocean, I enjoy the challenge of catching it.”
We own and operate a new (2024) custom built 37 freeman. The boat is powered by quad 300 Yamaha engines, and is equipped with state of the art Simrad electronics.
The 37 freeman is arguably the best center console on the planet for Gulf of Mexico fishing. We can cruise at over 50 mph in most conditions which allows to spend more time fishing. When the weather gets rough, the Freeman offers one of the most driest, and most comfortable rides you can experience in a center console. The wide beam allows plenty of room for up to 6 anglers to fish comfortably. The boat is outfitted with the absolute best fishing gear and tackle money can buy. We fish almost exclusively Shimano Reels (Talica, Torium, and Tiagras) on Custom built rods designed to handle the abuse of large fish.
Safety gear is paramount on any boat, especially when venturing offshore. In addition to the coast guard
required safety gear, We have opted to equip our boat with a life raft, Eprirb, and multiple redundant
communication devices.
